This has been a busy month for derelictproperty.net, as it was initial launch month!
The website was launched with bare-bones functionality, with features being added and launch regularly throughout the month of November.
Features and functionality added
The most important aspects for the initial launch of the derelictproperty.net website was primarily the retrieving, displaying, and filtering of derelict property for sale.
Other features and functionality added this month were:
- Basic user interface design, and navigation
- Blogging functionality
- Contact form
- Retrieving and storing property listings in the database
- The ability to display property listings
- Basic property search and filtering functionality
Finding derelict property for sale
The whole idea behind derelictproperty.net is to make the whole process of finding derelict property for sale much quicker and easier than it currently is.
Admittedly, this is a very niche sector in the property market, which, if done right, can prove to be very lucrative. But one of the biggest hurdles in derelict property renovation is finding the derelict properties in the first place!
This is where we come in. We scour the internet and aggregate all derelict property listings we can find online, and make them easily searchable and filterable here on this website.

- Filter by property type, including barn conversions, land, farmhouses, bungalow, cottage, etc.

The ability to order property listings
It is also now possible to order the property listings by:
- Price low > high
- Price high > low
- Newest property listings
- Oldest property listings
- Recently updated property listings
